Ibotta won the first-ever Colorado Startup Games on Saturday.

Against the odds, Ibotta's team of scrappy startup warriors staged a stirring, come-from-behind victory, taking home the trophy.  In the process, the team secured a $7,000 donation for Judi's House, which helps counsel grieving children who have recently lost a parent, at no cost. Judi's House says the victory will pay for free comprehensive grief counseling for six children in 2017.

Seven participating Denver and Boulder startups helped this noble nonprofit organization by excelling at games like flip cup, cornhole, foosball, Connect Four, and something called "muscle chugger."

The executive director of Judi's House, Brooke Griese, was beside herself with gratitude. The other startups participating were: Sphero, ReadyTalk, Return Path, Home Advisor, Blinker, and Circle Graphics. The event was held at the Glitterdome.
