Teamwork Makes the Dream Work for the State's Top Technology Firm

Centennials' Mobile Solutions named Top Company in the Technology industry

Margaret Jackson //August 29, 2018//

Two of this year's Top Companies – the winner and one finalist – in the Technology sector are posted in the Denver metro area, while the third has firmly planted its roots in Durango, Colorado – evidence that, indeed, technology is geographically agnostic, unfazed by physical borders and boundaries. Here we celebrate Colorado's leading technology firms for the year:

WINNER

MOBILE SOLUTIONS

CENTENNIAL

Mobile Solutions provides software that helps its clients run their businesses. The Software as a Service (SaaS) company provides full lifecycle Managed Mobility Services, including procurement, staging and kitting, real-time expense management, business analytics and reporting, account optimization and device reclamation services. Mobile Solutions provides U.S.-based support around the clock.

Owned and operated by entrepreneurs Jim and Kim Johnson, Mobile Solutions has grown to 79 employees over the last decade. The Johnsons carefully select each employee because they believe that teamwork is critical to the company’s success.

“This is the first time that our staff and our office reflect what our priorities are,” Jim Johnson says. “We want people to enjoy the people they work with. We’re looking for team players, not individuals.”

Mobile Solutions also believes it’s important to give back to the community. On “dress-down days” employees are asked to donate a dollar to the Susan G. Komen foundation, and on Food Truck Fridays, the company asks that a portion of the profits go to the nonprofit.

Jim Johnson says he enjoys seeing his employees succeed not only in their careers, but in their personal lives as well. “It’s not just a career and a business,” he says. “We’re trying to build people’s lives.”

FINALISTS

Last year, it recycled nearly 6 million pounds of cardboard, diverted 28 million pounds of waste from landfills and drove nearly 8 million alternative fuel miles.
