To hear Mitt Romney tell it, the anecdote for what ails the U.S. auto industry is help in Washington. One presumes that in addition to fighting inconvenient things like federal mileage standards, Romney will emulate George Bush, Senior and work to close American markets to foreign producers until Japanese consumers begin buying Dodge pickups.
