Common Ground: Water
Added on: February 10, 2014
Oil and natural gas companies understand water is a precious resource. Companies constantly work to reduce the amount of water used and to achieve higher rates of recycling and reuse. Many environmental consultants work with companies to improve practices and technology in order to achieve high rates of water reuse, thereby cutting down on the amount that must be purchased from those holding water rights.
Western Energy Alliance, founded in 1974 as the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States, is a non-profit trade association representing more than 480 companies engaged in all aspects of environmentally responsible exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the West.
