Open House Feb. 7 for Women in Business
Time: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: DoubleTree Hotel, Westminster, CO
Web Site:http://wbncolorado.com
The Women’s Business Network will hold an Open House for all businesswomen in the north Metro Denver area Feb. 7 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Westminster.
The event, from 5-7 p.m., is designed to encourage businesswomen to connect with other professional women in a non-routine setting. At the Open House, guests will learn about the Women’s Business Network and the ways in which the members support each other on an exclusive basis.
The event is free of charge, and the Women’s Business Network encourages guests to RSVP on the WBN website, wbncolorado.com. The WBN will offer drinks and appetizers, and all guests are encouraged to invite a colleague from another female-based business. Men who wish to learn more about the WBN on behalf of their female colleagues are welcome to attend.
“We hope to establish this Open House as an annual event, because we believe there is a huge need in the north Metro Denver area for businesswomen to support each other in an organized way,” said newly elected WBN President Dee Jacobson.
The members of the WBN meet weekly to share best practices with each other, learn about each other’s businesses, and provide advice in their areas of expertise. There is no competition within the group; and prospective members from “duplicative” industries are asked to put their names on a waiting list for acceptance into the group.
Some industries currently unrepresented within the WBN include floral, acupuncture, event management, travel and graphic art.
