Everybody wants to stand out from the other candidates. One of the best tactics is to determine the employers' greatest needs - or "pain" - and prove to them that you can solve this thorn in their side. However, not everyone knows how to do this in a simple and effective manner.
During this month's presentation, we will discuss using proven business tactics to uncover and address these employer needs in cover letters, resumes and interviews.
The Brown Bag Job Search Group meets on the second Wednesday of every month, from 12:30 - 2 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 10th and Garrison in Lakewood.
Each month, we explore a topic related to job searching, with a 45-60 minute presentation followed by open networking time.
The vision of the group is to educate our members, while providing an opportunity to meet with other job seekers for support and connection.
We will send out a notice of the upcoming presentation before the next Meetup.

Marketing rules are being rewritten in real time. There used to be a competitive advantage to being large – you had the logistics needed to dominate global business, the muscle to drive revenue. Today every barrier that used to prevent smaller players from competing globally has vanished. But to succeed in business today you still need to understand your customer, meet their needs and deliver beyond their expectations. How do you do that when your customer might be in Barry Island, Bangkok or Budapest? Think like a global company – don’t create a locally relevant product then try to make it globally relevant… create products with a global customer in mind.
The best companies in the world aren’t small minded… their customer base is global, and so is yours. Come and learn about global archetypes and how marketing to them will change the way you think about possible revenue.
