GCG FINANCIAL TO HOLD ANNUAL RESULTS SEMINAR

GCG Financial will hold its annual benefits benchmarking results seminar on Tuesday, June 4 at Carlucci in Rosemont.

Representatives from the actuarial firm Milliman USA will present and analyze the privacy-protected local and national 2013 survey data, which was completed by approximately 400 middle-market companies, as well as discuss best practices and strategies. Partners from Drinker Biddle & Reath will discuss the 2013 regulatory and compliance updates.  Both presentations will include a healthcare reform section.

“We are very interested to see how this year’s results compare to what we learned in 2012,” said President of Employee Benefits at GCG Financial David Levitz  “Given the comparative data that the 2013 survey will provide, this year establishes the survey’s ultimate value, all of which should help companies address the increasing cost of providing healthcare benefits to employees.”

The seminar is open to all companies, including those who did not participate in the survey. It will run from 9 a.m. until noon, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in live interactive polling on the latest benefits topics.

Transactional Evaporation - A breakthrough plan for eliminating Federal taxes and, at the same time,

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: DaVinci Institute, 511 E. South Boulder Road, Louisville, CO 80027

Web Site: http://www.davinciinstitute.com/events/651/night-with-a-futurist-monday-june-10-2013

f you're like most people, the issue of taxes has become an increasingly painful topic to discuss. Taxes, as they exist today, create unnecessary friction in our economy and, as a result, produce an adversarial relationship between people and their government.

Transactional Evaporation can change all that.

Scott Smith has been involved in modeling alternatives to managing our nation's money supply for almost twenty years. Recently he founded the Partnership for a New Economy, which advocates a four-point program to modernize our monetary and banking system. His talk will focus on "Transactional Evaporation," will allow the federal budget to be balanced without the need for collecting either personal or corporate income taxes.

Transactional Evaporation will also counteract the effect of federal spending on the money supply, which will be financed by the creation of new money through the Federal Reserve, by evaporating the existing money supply gradually across the entire monetary system. The result is that income, both in the form of wages and investment income, will be left largely intact, helping to increase consumer spending and decrease our current levels of unemployment.

We invite you to join us for this timely discussion and find out why Transactional Evaporation may just be the solution we're all looking for.

Sell Your Book - Or Book Idea - To a Traditional Publisher Like Random House

Do you have a book (or book idea) that you believe has bestseller or high commercial potential? Now is the best time in history to get a traditional publisher like Random House. During this workshop you’ll discover why. You’ll also find out why self-publishing is (in many cases) fool’s gold.

It doesn’t matter if you’re previously published, halfway through your first book, or just getting started… this workshop is for you. It also doesn’t matter if you’re writing nonfiction, fiction, or children’s books. Authors of every genre can use the strategies that will be shared during this event.

By the end of this workshop you’ll understand the only 2 reasons talented authors don’t get published.  You’ll be aware of the most publishing misconceptions. You’ll be hip to the latest trends (and scams). And, most important, you’ll know how to get the attention of top literary agents and publishers… so you can get a major book deal.

Getting published isn’t luck, it’s a decision…

In mathematics and computer science, a class of objects or methods exhibit recursive behavior when they can be defined by two properties:
A simple base case (or cases)
A set of rules that reduce all other cases toward the base case
For this class, we will be writing a Ruby class that will determine if an input string is a Palindrome. We will use TDD (test driven development) processes to flesh out the Ruby class.

This class will be taught by Jason Noble, one of the instructors at DaVinci Institute. In July, Jason will be teaching a new Ruby on Rails course titled “Building the tool belt of a Junior Ruby on Rails Developer” (http://davincicoders.com/building-the-toolbelt-of-a-junior-ruby-on-rails-developer/).

If you’d like to sit in on a DaVinci class to see what it’s like, this meetup would be an excellent opportunity.
