The Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce Leadership Foundation is pleased to announce the Chamber Connect Class of 2014 community service project event—the Roaring 20’s Grand Ball Gala. Join us for an enchanting evening set in the 1920’s filled with flapper dancers, specialty drinks, dinner and a live auction you wouldn’t want to miss. The Roaring 20’s Grand Ball Gala will be held on Saturday September 13th at the Turnhalle Grand Ballroom, 900 Auraria Pkwy (inside the Tivoli Student Union), at 6:00 pm. This event benefits Firefly Autism, a local Autism treatment center in Denver that provides treatment services for children 18 months to 18 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

2nd Annual Newman Awards

The Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, Rocky Mountain Chapter (ICAA RMC) is celebrating the 2nd Annual Newman Awards, honoring the 2014 winners whose work celebrates classical and traditional design in the Rocky Mountain Region. The event takes place at the Brown Palace from 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. on September 17, 2014. The event includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and music. Now Arapahoe House’s signature event, Dr.Drew helped launch the annual luncheon as the inaugural keynote speaker in 2010. Past keynote speakers for the Arapahoe House Luncheon include Dr.Drew Pinksy (2010), Christopher Kennedy Lawford (2011), John Larroquette (2012) and Meredith Baxter (2013).

Drew Pinsky, M.D., better known as Dr. Drew, is a radio and television personality, board certified internist and addiction medicine specialist. In 2010, Dr. Drew joined HLN as the host of his own nightly show “Dr. Drew On Call” where he continues to attract audiences and explore what makes people do what they do. He is the host of the nationally syndicated radio talk show, “Loveline,” which he has hosted for more than 25 years. He also hosted the VH1 show “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” He is the author of New York Times bestseller “The Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America” and “Cracked: Putting Broken Lives Together Again.”

Proceeds will benefit the life‑changing addiction treatment programs of Arapahoe House
