Preferred:
-Master’s degree in business or related field.
-Ten or more years of experience as an entrepreneur or in the entrepreneurial environment.
-Ability to lead in and operate collaboratively across the university/college and in the entrepreneurial community.
-Demonstrated ability to work in both the entrepreneurial and academic worlds simultaneously.

Minimum:
-Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
-Five or more years of experience as an entrepreneur or in the entrepreneurial environment (e.g. Venture Capital, Private Equity, etc).
-Active participation in Entrepreneurial organizations and/or networks.
-Experience in higher education.
-Knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation.
-Strong strategic planning skills.
-Strong leadership, management and organization skills.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively lead, motivate and influence others.
-Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
-Capacity to work collaboratively and act persuasively.

Job Description

An entrepreneurship opportunity for the right entrepreneur.  If you are interested in an opportunity to create, build, and lead, this position could be for you. The Director will provide leadership across the College and in the entrepreneurial community to bolster all facets of the College’s efforts in this key strategic area. The ideal candidate will be an experienced entrepreneur who is active in the Colorado entrepreneurial community while understanding the unique aspects of operating in the higher education environment. The incumbent will coordinate activities across DU and Daniels to build key partnerships and relationships in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, work with faculty and staff to enhance the overall entrepreneurial curriculum, and design and launch new programs within academic areas and expand co-curricular programming.
