The idea of launching a wellness program, however, can seem daunting – especially for small businesses, which often lack the resources of their larger counterparts. A 2012 National Small Business Association survey found that 22 percent of respondents offered wellness programs. Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed said there isn’t enough information available to small businesses about implementing wellness programs. Avoiding the back-pay double-whammy
If your business is violating minimum wage or overtime regulations found in the Fair Labor Standards Act, there is little you can do to avoid a liquidated damage assessment.  A violation does not have to be repeat or willful for such assessment.
