WHAT’S SPECIAL: PCL, which is 100 percent owned by about 90 percent of its full-time salaried staff, has a special development program for high-potential employees that provides them frequent access to senior executives, research and presentation opportunities and personal coaching.
PERKS: PCL employees can choose their start/stop times between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. They have no set number of sick days and can use sick days to care for ill family members. The company also has summer hours to allow employees to spend more time with their families.
