There were 1,100, then 100, then 50 — Colorado companies with so much promise, perseverance and passion-driven purpose that when the judging was done, they just had to be part of the 2019 class of Colorado Companies to Watch (CCTW).
They’ve been around as long as long as 52 years or started as recently as 2015. Women own 11 of them; veterans, six. They’ve created 1,607 jobs so far and are on track to add another 564 this year. Their combined revenue of $445 million is expected to grow to $639 million in 2019.
“The 2019 Colorado Companies to Watch Winners and Finalists represent our state’s thriving business ecosystem,” CCTW Chair Sam Bailey says. “We are proud to recognize these growth-oriented companies that are adding new jobs, innovating industries and enhancing communities across Colorado.”
Now in its 11th year, the Colorado Companies to Watch program’s 550 winners have created more than 20,000 full-time equivalent jobs and generated nearly $5 billion in revenue. But CCTW defines business success as far more than just jobs and sales, as important as those are. Giving back, innovation and workplace culture were factors considered on par with job creation and revenue generation when it came to picking the 50 winners, a recognition of the wide-ranging impact Colorado businesses can have on their communities.
