American Vein names new director of finance

American Vein & Vascular Institute will welcome Edward Priem II as the new director of finance in their practice management team located in downtown Colorado Springs.

“I am extremely excited and honored to be a part of the dynamic team at American Vein & Vascular Institute,” says Priem. “As  director of finance, I look forward to utilizing my accounting, finance, business strategy and compliance background to help continue the growth and development of this great Colorado company. I can be one part of a larger team to drive the organization forward and allow American Vein to continuously grow and serve its mission of delivering patient care with energy … to and from the heart."

Priem, a Certified Public Accountant, has held senior positions at numerous local organizations including Capin Crouse, BKD, Colorado College and Junior Achievement USA. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and has completed an executive program at Penn State University.

Priem is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of CPAs. He is also a voting member of the AICPA’s Exempt Organization Taxation Technical Resource Panel. Originally from Detroit, he has spent almost 30 years in Colorado.
