Tom Lucas and Kyle Villella promoted to vice presidents

John Rubey, CEO of Fathom Events, has named Larry Gillman as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Rubey has also promoted Tom Lucas to Vice President of Studio Relations and Kyle Villella to Vice President of Distribution. These appointments help support the award-winning company’s aggressive growth plans for 2016 and beyond.

Gillman brings with him an extensive background in financial planning and analysis across the media and entertainment sector. He was previously the Executive Vice President and CFO for the TV Guide Entertainment Group and worked as Senior Vice President and CFO for Fox Sports International when it was a start-up joint venture with News Corporation and Liberty Media. Gillman has also worked as an international business consultant for Yahoo! and at NBC in Los Angeles.

As Vice President of Studio Relations, Lucas will serve as the lead contact for all studio events. Since joining Fathom in March 2015, Lucas has worked with major studios such as Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment and others, to schedule some of the most iconic features of all time for Fathom Events. Lucas has also developed the Turner Classic Movies (TCM) relationship into an annual series of monthly nationwide events. Prior to joining Fathom, Lucas held executive positions at Warner Bros., Caesars Entertainment and Viacom/MTV Networks.

A 16-year-veteran  in exhibition and distribution, Villella will be responsible for all distribution strategy and execution for the company as Fathom’s Vice President of Distribution. Since joining Fathom in April of 2015, Villella has added important exhibitors to the Fathom network such as Harkins Theaters, iPic Theaters and Megaplex Theaters. Previously, Villella held distribution executive positions at Lionsgate, Paramount, The Weinstein Company and LD Entertainment.
