Innovest has named Elizabeth Stemper, Jerry Huggins and Rick Rodgers as partners.

Stemper is a member of the Due Diligence Group, responsible for both qualitative and quantitative manager due diligence and making recommendations to Innovest's Investment Committee.  Prior to joining Innovest, Stemper was a CPA at Deloitte, formerly Touche Ross. Additionally, she spent 12 years in real estate investment management with JMB Institutional Reality Corp., and subsequently Heitman Financial. She was a portfolio manager responsible for coordinating financing, leasing, marketing and property management for each property in three commingled private equity funds. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA majoring in Accounting.

Huggins is responsible for client consulting relationships and new business development focused on the retirement plan sector. Prior to joining Innovest, Huggins was a Vice President for ICMA-RC and Fidelity Investments, where his responsibilities included advising employers on their retirement plans over a 21-state region.  He worked closely with retirement plan sponsors and their trustees to design solutions to meet their specific goals and objectives. Huggins received his MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Montana.  He has held the Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation, through the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc, for more than 20 years.

Rodgers is a member of Innovest’s Retirement Plan Practice Group, a specialized team that identifies best practices and implements process improvements to maximize efficiencies for retirement plan clients. Prior to Innovest, Rodgers was co-founder and CEO of InSight Employee Benefit Communications, which merged with Innovest in 2014. He also served as Director of Marketing & Client Services for the Colorado County Officials and Employees Retirement Association.  He was formerly a Managing Area Director with Nationwide Retirement Solutions, and worked with the State of Florida Deferred Compensation Program prior to relocating to Colorado in 1991. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®) designations from the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, and has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility assessment.

Innovest Portfolio Solutions, LLC is an independent provider of investment-related consulting services.  Innovest works on a fee-only basis and believes that there is an inherent conflict of interest if the organization that provides advice also receives remuneration from investments or vendors used as a result of that advice.  We have assembled a team of professionals with a variety of financial disciplines, including Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Certified Investment Management Analysts (CIMA), Accredited Investment Fiduciaries (AIF), and a number of MBAs.
