The world is an uncertain and complex place, but Scott Shrake says the optimism of the innovators he works with at Colorado State University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship help keep him grounded.
“We get to continually build new programs to support the needs of the community and help spur economic development, whether it be supporting social ventures, the creative arts, food and beverage, or defense agencies,” he says.
At the institute, Shrake has launched nine new programs in entrepreneurship and design thinking and raised $1.3 million so far to support his broad vision as a disruptor in the entrepreneurial space. In addition to managing the institute’s programming that served more than 600 individuals in the first half of 2019, Shrake teaches the introductory and capstone courses for CSU’s new Design Thinking program.
