The True Life Companies Adds Eli Johnson to Its Executive Team

Johnson joins as the vice president of partner relations

Published:

The True Life Companies (TTLC) hired Eli Johnson, CFA to its Denver executive team. Johnson, who will serve as VP of partner relations, is an investment management professional with significant experience in alternative investments.

For the past 10 years, as VP of investments for a family office, Johnson was responsible for evaluating hundreds of alternative investments including real estate private equity structures. There, he was tasked with conducting due diligence and explaining the nuances of each recommendation to the family and investment committee members.

TTLC’s investment strategy is to repurpose underutilized properties in infill locations in select markets in the U.S. Once the necessary approvals are in place it then sells each property within a short time period (1-3 years) to a publicly traded home builder to create attainable housing.

“I joined TTLC because I wanted to represent a firm that has a strong alignment of interest with its investors. It was also important that our investment thesis was supported by long-term fundamentals. This is clearly the case in the select markets we are in. Combining the strength of the property team with insightful research and collaboration is what allows this strategy to scale.” Johnson says.

The True Life Companies is composed of a team of residential real estate professionals who work with property owners, municipalities and local stakeholders to address the need for attainable housing options in high-need communities. The company seeks to establish suburban and urban infill housing options that are the result of insightful research, innovative planning and creative collaboration. TTLC is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with offices in Folsom, California; San Ramon, California and Irvine, California.
