ACM's Brandon Powers named rising star in accounting

Anton Collins Mitchell LLP's Brandon Powers has been named a 2015 "Top 10 Public Accounting Professional Rising Stars" in Colorado by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals (NAPAP). The award recognizes outstanding public accounting professionals who have been practicing for fewer than 15 years.

To achieve this award, the accountants must first be nominated by industry peers or satisfied clients. Selection criteria include education, years of experience, areas of expertise, certifications, publications, awards, leadership and client satisfaction.

Powers joined Anton Collins Mitchell (ACM) as an Audit Associate in 2007 and was later promoted to Senior Tax Manager. He has experience with financial reporting audits for public and larger private corporations, corporate and pass-through entity taxation, international consulting, compliance, tax accrual preparation and review, and small business taxation. He has worked with clients in the aviation, manufacturing, technology & software, oil & gas, alternative energy, professional services and financial services industries.
Powers is a Certified Public Accountant with a B.S. degree in Accounting and a certificate in Financial Analysis from Colorado State University. He also holds a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver.
