If you think accounting is boring, you haven’t met Alina Nikishina.

Her recently launched startup, The Mastery Network, has transformed accounting-related topics and concepts into a fully functioning, engaging and creative e-learning program, licensed to professionals to pass on to clients, along with their professional advice.

“It’s really fulfilling to empower people with education and to contribute in a positive way to the future of the accounting profession,” she says.

Nikishina has plans to continue to roll out new e-learning, grow a community, create free content so even those that can’t afford it can get value, and organize live events.

Nikishina is the board vice president and volunteer for the nonprofit Denver Asset Building Coalition, which provides free tax preparation services to low-income Denver residents. CPA Practice Advisor magazine has named Nikishina a top “40 under 40” in accounting for three years in a row

Recipe for success: “Never pass up a networking opportunity, small or large. Fully embrace the identity of a lifelong learner.”
