Alpen High Performance Products Receives Investment from Arborview Capital

The Boulder-based Alpen High Performance Products received an investment from Arborview Capital to continue growing the company.

Alpen is a designer and manufacturer of high-efficiency windows, doors and commercial glass. In order to be more energy-efficient, its products are manfactured to be insualting, thermally-efficient by using a proprietary combination of component products, including lightweigh suspended-film technology, innovative ultra-thin glass and either fiberglass or fiberglass-reinforced framing systems for both insulation and durability.

According to this company, this segment of the market, high-performance windows and glass, is a growing segment of the $25 billion U.S. window market. Demand for high efficiency windows, doors and glass is experiencing rapid growth due to the expanding market for buildings built to net-zero energy and passive house standards. Other factors driving growth are tighter local building codes focused on improved energy efficiency and greater focus on interior building comfort and sound attenuation.

Alpen's prior investment rounds were aimed at providing capital for the launch of additional product lines as well as support overall company growth. As these goals have been met, the latest investment will allow the company to fund new construction as well as energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits. 

As the public awareness, as well as revisions to municipal and statewide building codes, around the importance and long-term benefits of sustainable building practices grows, the company hopes to see continued growth going forward.
