Best for Colorado Winners Announced
Honoring 16 local companies that strive to create quality jobs, strong communities and a healthy environment
Best for Colorado awarded 16 companies from across the state, specifically honoring businesses that exceed expectations for their workforce, communities and the environment. Best for Colorado, as well as the Best for the World are organized by B Lab, a nonprofit that serves the global movement of people using business as a force for good.
"Colorado is home to some of the most innovative, inspiring and impactful companies in the world," says B Lab Colorado Director Kim Coupounas. "If even 1 percent of businesses in our state stepped up to do just one thing to help create good jobs and stronger communities, it would affect the future of thousands of Coloradans."

More than 300 companies participated in the program, completing an online "Challenge" assignment, followed by a pledge to continue their journey of impact measurement, management and improvement. The 16 companies earned "Honoree" status and were recognized for their high scores on the B Impact Assessment, based on performance in various impact categories.
The program is made possible thanks to a coalition of partners, including municipalities, business associations, banks and employers.
B Lab drives systemic change by:
- Building a community of Certified B Corporations to make it easier to tell the difference between good companies and successful marketing
- Passing benefit corporation legislation to give business leaders the freedom to create value for society as well as shareholders
- Helping businesses measure, compare and improve their social and enviromental performance with the free B Impact Assessment
- Driving capital to impact investments through use of its B Analytics and GIIRS Ratings.
