In his first year on the job, Davis has spearheaded the fast-casual chain’s biggest expansion yet – and he’s just getting started.
Davis opened the first Tokyo Joe’s outside Colorado; five new locations will be open in Texas in Arizona by year’s end to bring the company’s total to 35, then comes a push into Southern California. “We’re looking to open 10 to 12 in 2016 and 15 the year after that,” Davis says.
He says the company’s employees underpin its success, so managers’ perks include a week at "Tokyo Joe’s house" in Maui. Growth might mean a sister getaway closer to home. “We keep thinking we’ll go up to the mountains,” says Davis.
