Two University College Programs Ranked Among Best Online Programs
Two programs in the University of Denver’s college of professional and continuing studies, University College, earned top spots in the 2014 Best Online Programs rankings by U.S. News & World Report released on January 8.
The Bachelor of Arts Completion Program was ranked No. 13 on the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list and the Information and Communications Technology graduate program was ranked No. 22 in the Best Online Graduate Computer Information Technology Programs category, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The online program rankings, now in its third year, attempt to help students identify valuable programs as more opportunities for distance education arise. Nearly 1,000 universities offering programs available entirely online were submitted for evaluation, up from 860 the previous year.
U.S. News & World Report considered several factors when ranking programs, including student engagement, graduation rates, faculty credentials, student support services, and peer reputation, according to their website.
Available entirely online or on campus in the evenings, the bachelor’s program offered by University College is geared for busy adults who need to finish their undergraduate degree. For those pursuing a master’s degree in Information and Communications Technology, University College offers nine concentrations entirely online or on campus in the evenings ranging from Web Design and Development to Technology Management, Mobile Application Development to Database Design and Administration.
