Though the current Colorado real estate market is on fire, turbulent times are apart of the cycle. These firms – DPC Development Companies, Alliant National Title Insurance Co., and 8Z Real Estate, have strategically, sustainable stood the test of time and built the Colorado we see today.

WINNER

DPC DEVELOPMENT COMPANIES

The real estate business has its ups and downs, but 31-year-old DPC Development Companies has remained strong. During the recession, the privately held commercial real estate firm retained all its properties and staff.

Greenwood Village-based DPC owns and develops more than 2.5 million square feet of commercial properties, along with both for-rent and for-sale multi-family projects. DPC has an extremely sustainable business strategy, with a mix of office, retail and industrial properties. The company and purchases underperforming properties and either completely repurposes them or replaces and repairs operating systems, renovates and revives outdated common areas, and then leases vacancies about 50 percent faster than industry norms. That way, DPC can achieve the pro forma goals of its asset exit strategies, continually balancing the acquisitions and dispositions of the portfolio without being over-leveraged.

DPC and its principles are involved with organizations such as The Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business, the Everitt Real Estate Center at Colorado State University, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, United Way, Children's Hospital, Colorado Springs Downtown Art on the Streets and others.
