Infocast’s Colorado Water Summit

Time: 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Location: Denver Marriott City Center

Web Site:

State Government Leaders and Key Decision Makers From Utilities, Municipalities and Industry Gather to Discuss:

- The Colorado Water Plan and How It Will Address the Impending Water Shortage
- Regional and Local Plans, Programs and Initiatives to Achieve Greater Water Efficiency
- Businesses’ Diverse Needs, Strategies and Response to the Water Crisis
- Funding and Private Investment Opportunities to Develop Needed Water Infrastructure
- The role of Advanced Water Efficiency Technologies

Keynote Speakers Include:
- John Stulp, Special Policy Advisor to the Governor for Water, STATE OF COLORADO
- Senator Gail Schwartz, Senate District 5, COLORADO STATE SENATE
- Ron Carleton, Deputy Commissioner, COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

Come and be a part of the solution to Colorado’s water crisis. Water supplies are shrinking, even as demand for water from municipalities, agriculture, industrial, recreation and oil & gas sectors continues to grow rapidly. Shifting patterns of precipitation indicate Colorado is going to be experiencing less rainfall and more constricting supplies going forward. Colorado seems to be walking down much the same path as Texas.

Texas has not only implemented a water plan, but also allocated billions in public money to building up the water infrastructure, and projects are already underway to handle this problem. Colorado has begun taking the preliminary steps to prepare for this issue by ordering the creation of the Colorado Water Plan, the first round of which will come to fruition in December 2014.

It is clear Colorado will need to invest billions, some estimate as much as $7 billion, to improve water efficiency throughout many different industries, applications and technologies. For those who want to understand the new world of water from a user standpoint and the potential for funding and private sector investment need to come up to speed with the developments in the Colorado water infrastructure in order to position themselves appropriately as the developments become more concrete and clear.

That’s why Infocast has developed the unprecedented Colorado Water Summit in Denver CO, March 3-4, 2014 to bring together state & local government, water users, investors & financiers, technology companies, and other key stakeholders to strategize on the needs, requirements, initiatives, funding sources, technology options critical to solving the future of Colorado’s water infrastructure. If this issue touches on you, you would be well advised to attend this meeting and come up to speed on the absolute latest developments of this critical and important shift.

Developments in the Denver-Julesburg Basin (DJ Basin) and throughout the Niobrara play are accelerating, with investment pouring in from companies including Noble Energy, Anadarko, Carizzo Oil & Gas, Encana, MDU Resources, Lario, Marathon Oil and more. But this burgeoning activity is demanding an equally dramatic expansion of the infrastructure to service it, with hundreds of millions of dollars needed for additional midstream gathering systems and processing plants, pipeline expansions and rail improvements, as well as investments in related fields including real estate and local government services.

The expansion in production and midstream capacity in this exciting play offers opportunities and challenges for a whole range of players, including E&Ps, field service providers, infrastructure developers, logistics and real estate players, investors and capital providers, and government and local community representatives. In such a dynamic environment, only the best informed and the best connected players will be able to maximize the success of their individual business initiatives.

Infocast has organized the 4th edition of its remarkably successful Niobrara Infrastructure Development Summit to facilitate success for all throughout the value chain. This meeting will feature key players in the Niobrara and will provide attendees with an unbelievably informative briefing from active players in the basin. Don’t miss this exceptional event; check out our detailed agenda of speakers and the thorough networking access to all players!

Web Site:

Tell & Sell your company story, purpose & vision with symbols, fonts, words & color!

If ever a picture were worth a thousands words, it should be when using your Brand Identity to communicate and sell your Brand Promise.

Building your Brand Identity should not depend on clip art or ultra-cheap online design services. A well-designed, powerful Brand Identity communicates your Brand Promise by expressing your unique mission, vision, and purpose with visual tools.

In this Workshop we will discuss the 3 building blocks of a creating stable, visual Brand Identity: 1) your company (or product) name, 2) a tagline to differentiate you from your competition, and 3) a uniquely identifiable visual symbol. Because implementation is a determining factor for success, we’ll leave “chance” at the door. Solid research based on data from Xerox and others, proves that color and font choices REALLY DO affect your SALES AND PROFITS! With this in mind, we’ll explore how to design an “implementation set” that blends layouts, fonts and color for your business cards, packaging, brochures and websites.

If you’d like your logo or brand to be a part of a “live” classroom critique, send in your logo with your registration. I will choose 3 of the most illustrative examples and offer constructive opinions on how to strengthen your logo for maximum impact.

Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success with Adam Grant, NYT & WSJ Best-Selling Author

Time: 7:45 am - 10:00 am

Location: Newman Center for Performing Arts University of Denver 2344 E. Iliff Avenue Denver, CO 80208

Web Site:

Rocky Mountain HR People and Strategy (RMHRPS) is very pleased to bring Adam Grant to Denver to discuss Give andTake: A Revolutionary Approach to Success.

Give and Take changes our fundamental ideas about how to succeed --at work and in life. Beyond the drivers of hard work, talent, and luck, what does it take to achieve success?

Join us as Adam Grant, Professor of Management at Wharton and best-selling author, introduces three fundamental styles of professional interaction and their implications for individual and collective performance.  He will discuss how to develop productive interactions to build richer networks, more innovative teams and more rewarding relationships.

Using his own groundbreaking research, Grant examines the surprising forces that shape why some people rise to the top of the success ladder while others sink to the bottom. In professional interactions, it turns out that most people operate as either takers, matchers, or givers. Whereas takers strive to get as much as possible from others and matchers aim to trade evenly, givers are the rare breed of people who contribute to others without expecting anything in return.

Grant has been recognized as the single highest-rated professor in the Wharton MBA program and one of the world’s top 40 business professors under 40.
