The Fort Collins-based granddaughter of Homer Stryker, founder of medical technology firm Stryker Corp., Stryker is best known in Colorado for her philanthropy and political activism.
As one of the "Gang of Four" with Tim Gill, Jared Polis and Rutt Bridges, she spearheaded a progressive push that helped turn Colorado blue.
Stryker founded the Bohemian Foundation in 2001 to support local, national and global efforts to build strong communities and has been a big donor to Colorado State University. She recently sold her California winery, Stryker Sonoma, to focus on her foundation work and opened the Music District, a creative hub and workspace for musicians in Fort Collins.
