Jigna Hammers, 33

Partner, Lantz Boggio / Architects | Englewood

Jigna Hammers knows buildings can inspire and capture the imagination, and she understands the key role visualization plays in the architectural process.

She uses this knowledge when she collaborates with both clients and team members during early process planning and stakeholder engagement. Her high-quality renderings help tell the story behind architectural design.

After finishing her master of architecture degree and completing an internship at a Texas-based architecture firm, Hammers joined the world’s largest architecture firm as a designer, where she honed her skills and gained valuable insights into groundbreaking technologies and fundamental research that would help propel her career as an architect.

Hammers moved to Denver to work for Lantz Boggio / Architects (LB/A), where she rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming a partner in the firm. Under her leadership, the firm’s quarterly meetings have been dubbed “pep rallies” and are filled with music, jokes, games and encouragement to cut through the monotony prevalent in many meetings.

LB/A focuses on architectural and interior design in the senior living industry. Hammers’ involvement in creating these communities goes beyond architectural design. She visits the communities, interacts with residents and staff and thrives on the connections she makes. She believes the best way to learn what older adult residents and staff need is to interact with them and their culture.

Hammers and the firm’s four other partners have devised and carried out a plan to revitalize, modernize and give new life to an already well-established architecture firm.
