JWU Denver Campus President plans to take a new position

She will lead new delivery of graduate programs

Johnson & Wales University President Robin Krakowsky is resigning from the Denver campus in May 2016. Krakowsky will  remain part of the university administration and has accepted an opportunity to spearhead a new delivery of the university’s graduate programs, effective June 1, 2016.

Krakowsky has been with the university-system for 35 years and has served as the Denver Campus president since 2011. During her tenure as campus president, Krakowsky oversaw the expansion of academic degree programs including the development of an MBA program, as well as the recent completion of $30 million in campus renovations, including the rehabilitation of historic Centennial Hall—a building that had previously been shuttered for more than 30 years.

Krakowsky began her career at the university’s Providence Campus in 1980. Her education, skills and experience were recognized through the appointment to positions of increasing levels of responsibility. She gained vast experience both in the classroom and in administrative positions, including vice president of finance, senior vice president of administration, and senior vice president of compliance, internal audit and risk management before her appointment to Denver Campus president in 2011.

In January, the university will convene a committee comprised of JWU faculty, staff and students to conduct a national search for the next Denver Campus president.
