NORM BROWNSTEIN, 73 |  STEVE FARBER, 73

Founders, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck

Norm Brownstein and Steve Farber founded their law firm right after they graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1968. They grew the firm to more than 250 attorneys and policy professionals in 11 offices across the West and in Washington, D.C., and Atlantic City, N.J. Brownstein and Farber have worked on telecommunications, financial services, tax and health care interests, resulting in the building of the Pepsi Center, the Denver Broncos stadium and funding for Denver International Airport

Brownstein, now chairman of the board, is known for his work on national public policy matters, and the firm’s lobbying team is the No. 2 federal lobbying shop in Washington, D.C. He has been called the “101st Senator” by the Senate, and was recognized, with 88 other distinguished American citizens who have influenced American public policy, in the "Network," a permanent display at the Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C.

Firm President Farber is involved with city and state politics. He has served on former Gov. Bill Owens’ Commission on Civil Service Reform, was chairman of former Gov. Roy Romer's successful gubernatorial campaigns and sat on the Site Advisory Committee for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
