VP Strategy & Business Development | Lutheran Medical Center SCL Health

Wheat Ridge

Megan Durning is the kind of leader who doesn’t back down from difficult people, projects or challenges, colleague Andrea Burch says.

During her tenure with SCL Health and Lutheran Medical Center, she has executed business plans for new clinical programs and program enhancements that have resulted in important new sources of revenue for the hospital, including a higher level of trauma designation; in-hospital, low-intervention Birthing Suites, the first of its kind in Jefferson County; expansion of Lutheran’s bariatric program into new markets; and growth of the neurosciences program to provide 24/7 care for stroke patients in the north Denver metro area.

Durning sits on the Arvada Chamber board of directors and is involved with its Arvada Healthcare Collaborative, which works on health care-related issues for small businesses. Additionally, she works closely with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women program and currently sits on its Executive Champions board.
