Porfolio Manager | Community Solutions

Melanie Lewis Dickerson says she’s driven by three things: “An unwavering belief that homelessness can and should be solved, not managed; an intense curiosity about large systems and cities; and surrounding myself with good people who believe in bringing joy to incredibly challenging work.”

As a portfolio manager with Community Solutions, Dickerson has led the development of the organization’s far-reaching advisory portfolio on large-scale social change. As president of the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative Board of Directors, she has forged critical statewide partnerships, redefined and improved community governance, modernized the local homeless data collection system, crafted the first region-wide action plan to end homelessness and presided over a major reduction in veteran homelessness.

Dickerson has received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing over 500 volunteer service hours and has been recognized as one of Colorado’s Finest Young Professionals by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Recipe for success: “In everything you do — work hard, be nice and have fun.”
