Mike Albert says he wakes up every day thinking about ways to create distinct places that bring people joy.
Albert joined Design Workshop in 2006 and became a licensed landscape architect, a LEED-accredited professional and a construction document technologist less than three years later. He took a two-year leave to earn a master’s in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, graduating with honors.
Albert is the only practicing landscape architect in Colorado under age 40 to have received four National American Society of Landscape Architects Awards (ASLA) in Residential Design, Planning and Communication. He was one of Colorado’s inaugural “Top Five Designers Under 40” for Colorado Homes and Lifestyles magazine.
