T/ACO, a locally owned urban taqueria at 1175 Walnut St. in Downtown Boulder, recently announced “Frontline Worker Wednesdays.”

T/ACO and its sponsors will reserve its four popular cabanas for a night of free tacos to recognize the contributions of frontline workers during these last twelve months.

“Essential workers—the nurses, teachers, police and sheriff, service employees and so many others—have powered our community these last 12 months, and oftentimes at great personal risk. On behalf of a grateful community, we’re happy to give them a night on us, ” said Peter Waters, co-owner and managing partner at T/ACO.

Each week, four cabana winners will be selected from T/ACO’s Facebook campaign. Each cabana holds up to six people for a total of 24 guests each week. For more information on how to nominate yourself or another worthy candidate, please visit T/ACO’s Instagram and/or Facebook.

The schedule for each week’s Frontline Worker Wednesdays is listed below. The winners for each week will be announced on Facebook and Instagram the Friday before the stated period.

April 14:  Teachers

April 21:  Law Enforcement

April 28:  Grocery Workers

May 12:  Frontline Health Workers

T/ACO’s cabanas are made possible through support from The Foundry Group, Jason and Jenn Mendelson, MAPRagency and TechStars.

“Community is at the heart of what T/ACO stands for, and this is a way for the restaurant and our sponsors to demonstrate their appreciation, foster a sense of community and celebrate those who risked their personal safety to keep our community going during the pandemic,” added Waters.
