Each year, ColoradoBiz brings together the state’s manufacturers at its Made in Colorado event. The unique event celebrates the people and businesses behind some of the state’s most innovative products.

With the help of presenting sponsors Plante Moran, Citywide Banks and Cresa, the 8th annual Made in Colorado Manufacturing Awards and Event was held on March 10 at Mile High Station. Nearly 200 manufacturers from across the state gathered at the event to discuss topics facing the industry, showcase their products and honor companies in five categories.

To kickstart the evening, Tim Heaton and Daron Linton from CAMA ignited conversation between attendees with a number of facilitated table discussions, or insider circles. Manufacturers discussed a range of topics including marketing and advertising, cyber security, strategic planning, automation, IT best practices, employee recruitment for manufacturing and employee benefits before enjoying the awards ceremony and guest speaker.

The ceremony recognized five innovative manufacturers in the categories of Most Ethical Manufacturer, Most Innovative, Best Food and Beverage, Emerging Manufacturer and Best Designed Goods. Read more about this year’s winners and finalists here!

Concluding the awards was the presentation of the Citywide Banks Community Pride Award and a presentation by special guest speaker, Matthew Malone, PMO Manager at Barber-Nichols, about the bright future of manufacturing in Colorado.

Over 20 Manufacturers exhibited their products and connected with each other over Footers gourmet mac and cheese and buffalo sliders and Luna Gourmet Coffee.  We’d also like to extend a huge thanks to the event’s associate sponsors FMH Material Handling Solutions, Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center, MB Law and CAMA for their contributions to the event.
