An annual breakdown of the best in the biz, from audio visual companies to mobile app brands
BEST AUDIO SERVICE + VIDEO PRODUCTION
Arvada-based CEAVCO provides video, audio, lighting and creative services for conferences, galas and other productions. The team of 36 works behind the scenes at about 350 events a year. One big event this year was Side Stories, a large-format film installation that projected digital works from 10 Colorado artists onto exterior walls in the River North (RiNo) neighborhood of Denver. A short film showcase took place every evening from Feb. 21 through March 2, with the 10 short films running on a loop.
BEST IT SERVICES
Since 2004, Live Consulting has prided itself on providing enterprise grade solutions scaled down to the small business.
"Small businesses deserve the same uptime and solutions that the enterprise group does, with a price that scales to their size," managing partner Nick Nyberg says. "Small businesses are always surprised to hear that we have unlimited support included in our package, that we give them the firewall they need, we give them the anti-virus software, we give them everything to become a standardized company under our protection."
He adds that Live wants customers for life, so it offers month-to-month contracts and earns their business every month. Account managers meet with customers monthly, if they want, and do quarterly business reviews to show them the state of their network.
BEST WEB DEVELOPMENT
Fruition handles complex website development projects that often leverage Drupal, an open-source content-management system, as the core of the product. The company delivers complex projects that involve interacting with dozens if not hundreds of data sources and millions of users, all while keeping the website and associated apps loading quickly, securely and error-free.
Clients include the Greater Ontario Convention Center & Visitors Bureau, the Tucson Convention Center, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, architecture firm Kephart and the Quarterly Forum, a Colorado-based leadership organization that connects the state's best emerging community leaders.
