Top 100 Woman-Owned Companies 2016 event
Congrats to the Top 100 Woman-Owned Companies for 2016!
Congratulations to our Top 100 Woman-Owned Companies!
Attendees at the June event mingled and toasted their accomplishments at RedLine, a non-profit contemporary art center in downtown Denver. Mayor Michael Hancock saluted the companies and touted Denver as fifth in the nation for woman-owned businesses, a ranking he hopes to improve.
Work Options for Women, a culinary job training program, received the proceeds of a raffle that included prizes from Matthew Morris Salon, the Denver Art Museum, Hapa, Hotel Teatro and Denver Passport. The nonprofit's mission is to help impoverished women gain the skills and confidence they need to work their way out of poverty and become gainfully and permanently employed in the food service industry.
Event sponsors included Christopherson Business travel, Colorado Women's Hall of Fame, Footers catering, Yellowdog printing and the Colorado Enterprise Fund. Footers Catering provided heavy hors d'oeuvres, and Coyote Gold brought the margaritas.
