MRP Celebrates its 25th Anniversary by hosting Fruita city officials at Eurobike

MRP, a high-end bike parts manufacturer based in Colorado’s Grand Valley, is helping the local mountain-biking mecca, Fruita, recruit international bike businesses to locate in the city.

Fruita’s mayor and city manager hosted a media and prospective business event in partnership with MRP today at Eurobike, the world’s premier trade show for the bike industry, held in Friedrichshafen, Germany. They discussed why Fruita is the ideal location for relocation or for setting up a U.S. office.

Fruita is ranked Colorado's No. 1 Adventure Town and one of America 's top 20 Coolest Outdoor Towns. A Western Colorado city of 13,000 located in Colorado's Grand Valley, Fruita is home to world-renowned mountain biking with multiple trailheads and hundreds of miles of single track that extend to Moab, Utah.

Fruita's single track offers all types of terrain, from red dirt to slick rock, and expertise levels from highly technical to super-fast, roller coaster-like trails in the desert. With more than 245 days of sunshine and a mild climate, you can ride all year long while still being able to access high elevations and winter sports within an hour drive. Road cycling through Colorado National Monument also offers world-class terrain and views.

Fruita has more than 68 acres of land in between downtown and the famous Kokopelli trailhead that is ready for businesses to locate on lakefront lots with interstate, railroad and highway access. The lots have all improvements including streets, sidewalks, water, electric, fiber and sewer. These lots have build-to-suit lease or purchase options and incentives available. The city is also designing and constructing paved and soft-surface single track trails that connect the industrial business park to downtown and a major mountain bike trailhead. See www.fruita.tv for more information.

MRP has been located in nearby Grand Junction since 2000. The facility there is home to nearly all functions of the company; including sales, marketing, design and engineering, and much of their production. The picturesque Colorado location and its ample recreational opportunities have been assets to recruitment and retention. MRP is celebrating 25 years of producing groundbreaking and industry-leading chain guide and drivetrain products. Their critically acclaimed suspension line is growing with the addition of the much anticipated Ribbon suspension fork, debuting at Eurobike.
