Centennial Bank and Trust has launched a donation drive at all 17 locations in partnership with Step 13 to help combat the devastating impact of addiction across the state.

Step 13 is a residential recovery center in downtown Denver that helps low-income men overcome addiction and rebuild their lives through a program focused on sobriety, work and accountability.

Centennial Bank and Trust will host donation boxes at all 17 locations across the Denver Metro Area, foothills locations and mountain communities.  Acceptable donations include new toiletries and clothing for men of all sizes.  Work boots are a high priority item. Monetary donations will also be accepted. The drive began Aug. 8 and runs through the end of the month.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Step13 and provide assistance through our donation drive at all 17 bank locations throughout Colorado,” Centennial Bank President Steve Ward says. “Not only do we have an employee with a personal connection to the organization, we have tremendous respect for the values and opportunities Step13 provides to its residents and look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the organization.”

“The business community is a key partner in the fight against substance abuse and homelessness in our city,” says Matthew Saks, chair of Step 13’s board of directors. “The business community is waking up to the millions of dollars in lost revenue every year caused by addiction, not to mention the personal impact on employees and their families. Centennial Bank is demonstrating real leadership here. Their commitment will help thousands of individuals, hundreds of families and our community as a whole.”
