Apeksha Desai has been practicing medicine for nearly 20 years, but despite that, she still believed she lacked a grasp on the actual business of health care.
"At the end of the day, health care is a business," says the physician, who practices at Kaiser Permanente in Boulder. "If I'm going to lead my industry, my organization, I need to understand all aspects of it,"
So Desai enrolled in the Colorado-based program for an Executive MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Just a few months in, she calls her experience so far an enriching and wonderful journey.
"I'm growing everyday as a person," she says.
