Halee Fischer-Wright of Medical Group Management Association tenaciously leads as an outspoken and effective industry advocate

Pediatrician Halee Fischer-Wright has owned her own physician practice, consulted with Fortune 500 businesses, served as a hospital chief medical officer and co-authored a New York Times bestseller, "Tribal Leadership." But no matter where she's been, "Halee has always driven her organizations to compete with the best of the best," says Todd Evenson, chief operating officer of Medical Group Management Association.
At MGMA, she is an outspoken and effective advocate for medical practices, physicians and patients, weighing in on controversial federal policy debates and providing vital services to members that help them adapt to and shape the changing business of health care.
“She is a thought leader in our industry, crisscrossing the country to achieve our members’ most important objectives,” Evenson says. “And she’s challenging our industry to become more diverse, business-driven, tech-savvy and patient-centered, while turning on its head conventional wisdom that gets in the way of practices’ ability to deliver better patient care. Fischer-Wright gives back by coaching and mentoring others in both health care and business – from physicians early in their career to executives trying to improve their medical practices. She also contributes to multiple charities and causes, including Canine Companions, Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior and the Denver Rescue Mission, and is involved with the Healthcare Leadership Alliance and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education, as well as serving as a faculty member of the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
