The family-owned Stanley Steemer was founded in 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. It is the first carpet cleaning service to be certified Asthma and Allergy Friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. There are 300 Stanley Steemer locations nationally, and four in the Denver/Fort Collins area. The company is committed to customer satisfaction and prides itself in giving their customers a cleaner and healthier home to live and breathe in.

Dependable Cleaners

The 26-location Dependable Cleaners offers free pickup and delivery and many of the locations have a drive-thru. The dry cleaner recycles hangers, safety pins, and garment bags, and uses environmentally friendly solvents and soaps. The place is probably best known for its Coats for Colorado drive, which has collected and distributed more than two million coats since 1982.

Swingle employs more certified arborists than any other landscape company in the region.

The company provides a wide range of lawn care and tree services, including fertilization and weed control; tree and shrub pruning and trimming; outdoor holiday lighting and decor; and sprinkler and irrigation systems.

Founded in 1947 by tree surgeon John Swingle as the Swingle Tree Surgery Company, the company now is led by Tom Tolkacz who bought it in 1998. Tolkacz focuses on the company’s past philosophy of creating a successful service company by applying Swingle’s original motto of “Stay Ahead of the Pack” to all areas of the business from management and product innovation to customer service and community involvement.

Alpine Waste & Recycling

Since its inception in 1999, Alpine Waste & Recycling has grown from just one truck and one man into the largest independent waste and recycling company in Colorado.

Today, the company has a fleet of nearly 100 collection vehicles and offers trash, recycling and organics (compost) collection throughout the Denver metro area.

Built in 2007, Alpine’s Altogether Recycling is Colorado’s second-largest recycling facility, processing more than 6,000 tons of recycling a month. It’s the only company in the market to accept rigid plastics in its program.

Commerce City-based Alpine also has a compost processing plant that accepts food waste, coffee grinds and filters, waxed paper, paper napkins and towels and plants and flowers.
