Denver Public Schools gets high marks thanks to Tom Boasberg
Since unanimous appointment in 2009, Boasberg presides over a record period of enrollment at DPS
TOM BOASBERG, 52
Superintendent, Denver Public Schools
Since his unanimous appointment in 2009, Boasberg has presided over a record period of enrollment, a 25 percent increase in four-year graduation rates in the state's largest school district, and a 60 percent decrease in dropout rates. That's not all: The number of students taking Advanced Placement classes has tripled under his watch as DPS has earned acclaim for its school-choice program, ranked as the best among major cities by the Brookings Institution.
