Recovering Attorney, Bryan Leach Gives Customers Cash-Back Rewards
Ibotta's chief executive earns CEO of the Year finalist title

Bryan Leach has degrees from Harvard, Oxford and Yale Law, and he clerked for Supreme Court Justice David Souter.
But the entrepreneur in him wasn’t satisfied with a career in law. So in 2011, he founded Ibotta, which gives consumers a mobile way to earn cash back on purchases. Six years and more than 400 employees later, Leach has landed a Colorado-first investment from Silicon Valley-based investment firm GGV Capital, has doubled the company’s office space and boasts 23 million app downloads and more than $275 million in cash-back rewards.
Leach mentors those involved with early stage companies, advising them on how to get started, how to build a successful company and navigate the obstacles along the way. Leach also contributes his experiences to teaching high school level classes throughout Denver, including Denver School of Science & Technology and Colorado Academy, with a focus on entrepreneurism and cultivating that mindset in future generations. He also serves on the board of the Grafton Street Fund and supports the Dumb Friends League.
